La caixa de connexi\u00f3 compleix una funci\u00f3 molt similar, i a la pr\u00e0ctica molts fabricants utilitzen ambd\u00f3s termes de manera intercanviable per al mateix producte. La caixa de borns, en canvi, s\u00ed que t\u00e9 una difer\u00e8ncia real: incorpora una regleta de borns al seu interior pensada espec\u00edficament per facilitar connexions ordenades i repetibles, mentre que una caixa de derivaci\u00f3 es pot resoldre amb empalmaments directes si el projecte no exigeix aquesta organitzaci\u00f3. El problema, com en qualsevol envolupant pintada, \u00e9s que la protecci\u00f3 dep\u00e8n d&#8217;una capa superficial: un cop en el transport o una junta que comen\u00e7a a fallar \u00e9s tot el que cal perqu\u00e8 la corrosi\u00f3 avanci per sota de la pintura sense que es noti des de fora. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&#8217;acer inoxidable entra en joc en el moment en qu\u00e8 la caixa de derivaci\u00f3 estar\u00e0 exposada a aigua, a neteja amb m\u00e0nega, a clorurs o a normativa de disseny higi\u00e8nic, com passa a la ind\u00fastria aliment\u00e0ria, farmac\u00e8utica o en plantes de tractament d&#8217;aig\u00fces. El salt important arriba quan la caixa estar\u00e0 a l&#8217;exterior o a prop d&#8217;una zona de rentat: aqu\u00ed el m\u00ednim raonable \u00e9s un IP66, que resisteix raigs d&#8217;aigua de cabal elevat, enfront de l&#8217;IP65, que nom\u00e9s cobreix raigs de baixa pressi\u00f3 i que \u00e9s, de llarg, el grau que m\u00e9s es confon amb proteccions superiors en fase de comanda. I en instal\u00b7lacions on la caixa de derivaci\u00f3 rebr\u00e0 neteja amb aigua a alta pressi\u00f3 i temperatura elevada (escorxadors, sales de desossat, l\u00ednies l\u00e0cties) l&#8217;est\u00e0ndard de facto \u00e9s l&#8217;IP69K, l&#8217;\u00fanic grau pensat espec\u00edficament per a aquestes condicions.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aquesta jerarquia de graus IP, i la confusi\u00f3 concreta entre IP65 i IP66, \u00e9s la mateixa que s&#8217;aplica a qualsevol envolupant el\u00e8ctrica en entorn alimentari, i conv\u00e9 tenir-la present independentment de si s&#8217;est\u00e0 especificant una caixa de derivaci\u00f3 petita o un armari complet.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-white-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-white-background-color has-background\" style=\"margin-top:56;margin-bottom:56\"\/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Premsaestopes i entrada de cables: el detall que compromet l&#8217;IP nominal<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hi ha un punt que rarament apareix a la fitxa t\u00e8cnica i que, tanmateix, \u00e9s responsable de bona part de les avaries prematures: el premsaestopes. Una caixa amb IP66 certificat de f\u00e0brica perd aquest grau de protecci\u00f3 en el moment en qu\u00e8 s&#8217;instal\u00b7la un premsaestopes de di\u00e0metre incorrecte per a la secci\u00f3 del cable, deixant un buit pel qual entra humitat encara que la resta de la caixa estigui perfectament segellada. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aix\u00f2 \u00e9s especialment rellevant en instal\u00b7lacions on es preveu una ampliaci\u00f3 futura: \u00e9s habitual deixar una entrada de cable \u00abde reserva\u00bb tapada amb un tap gen\u00e8ric que no ofereix el mateix grau d&#8217;estanque\u00eftat que un premsaestopes correctament dimensionat.
